Need help with Fault Line? Most answers are below. If yours isn't, email us at hussein@gamivate.io and we'll get back to you.

How do I learn to play?

Tap TUTORIAL on the title screen. Basalt and Quartz walk you through eight short lessons, then a practice match. You can replay any lesson from LESSONS, and HOW TO PLAY in Settings has a quick summary of the rules.

What's the difference between the tables and decks?

  • Neighbors: you share a border with each rival, so every half you give lands on that shared line.
  • One Board: everyone has their own board, and you choose who gets the other half.
  • Starter is the classic deck. Full Deck adds Quake cards with Wild and Crack halves.
  • Easy, Normal and Hard set how strong your rivals play.

How do I turn off music, sounds, voices or vibration?

Open SETTINGS from the title screen. Music, sound effects, character voices and vibration each have their own switch, and your choices are remembered.

Will I lose my progress if I change phones?

Fault Line has no accounts and keeps everything on your device, so settings and tutorial progress don't move to a new phone, and deleting the app clears them. Matches are self-contained, so there's nothing else to lose.

Are there ads or in-app purchases?

No. Fault Line has no ads, no in-app purchases and no accounts, and single player works fully offline.

How do I play online?

Tap ONLINE on the title screen, pick a nickname and agree to the Fault Line Terms. Then:

  • Quick match puts you in a table with other players. If seats are still empty when it starts, Basalt and Quartz fill them.
  • Create a room gives you a 5-letter code to share. Friends tap JOIN and type it in. You need at least one friend to start.

Each turn has a 30-second clock. If you run out of time or lose your connection, the computer plays for you; reopen the game and tap ONLINE to rejoin your room.

Someone is being rude. What can I do?

Tap their avatar and choose Report or Block. Reports come straight to us and we review them. Blocking keeps you out of quick matches with that player. You can also leave a match any time from Settings.

Reporting a bug

Email hussein@gamivate.io with your phone model, its iOS or Android version, and what happened just before the problem. A screenshot helps a lot.

Privacy

Single player collects nothing, and online play uses only your nickname and a random ID. Read the Fault Line privacy policy.
